This list will explore the fundamental challenges that confront democratic
states as we begin the new millenium and strategies for increasing
citizen participation as our political world becomes increasingly complex.
In a world where political decisions are complex, many citizens find their
voice in their government diminishing. This list will provide students,
scholars, and ordinary citizens with a forum to discuss many of the
fundamental challenges facing democracies today.
Possible topics include:

Faith as a Public Reason

The Natural Environment and Modern Democracy

Modern Democracy
Basically, anything that is pertinent to the subject. This list is meant
to be enlightening and perhaps able to produce plausible solutions to the
current problems that plague modern democracy.
